Lead By Example as a Public Servant

Emily is committed to continue to serve the Hoboken community with honesty and integrity. She repeatedly emphasizes that she has no desire to be a politician – she’s a mom and social worker who cares about her community. She’s actively involved in Getting Things Done for Hoboken without letting red tape and political posturing distract her. Emily believes her background and unique perspective as a non-politician are essential components to the composition of the City Council.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the concept of being a true public servant became even more clear for her – whether that meant delivering meals to seniors who were sheltering-in-place, communicating complicated policy guidance, supporting testing and vaccination infrastructure, or delivering food with the Hoboken Food Pantry. At a time when so many residents were experiencing anxiety, fear and hardship, Emily prioritized being available to address questions, provide guidance through a complicated policy landscape, and demonstrating confidence in our protocols by patronizing restaurants and small businesses in a safe way.

As a leader in the community, Emily strongly believes in leading by example.
